Texting affects on childern over exaggerated

In Katie Hafner article "Texting may be talking a toll" she talks about how texting increased and became more unhealthy over the years. Katie also goes over how texting effects teenagers lives.
The article has a couple of quotes from doctors, teachers, and parents (people who study or experienced teenager ways of texting). One of the quotes were from Dr. Martin Joffe, a pediatrician in Greenbrae, Calif., who says "Then you hear that these kids are responding to texts late at night. That’s going to cause sleep issues in an age group that’s already plagued with sleep issues." This shows that the increase in teenagers texting is becoming unhealthy. The article also goes on to talk about how texting affects adolescence lives. Micheal  Hausauer states "Texting can be an enormous tool,” he said. “It offers companionship and the promise of connectedness. At the same time, texting can make a youngster feel frightened and overly exposed.” This shows that texting is also a positive thing in teens lives.

  1. You've done some good work summarizing and including details from the article, but you don't have any of your own opinions and commentary. See parts 3 and 4 of the blog post format for examples of what I am looking for. 50
