In Ja'anai Delaney's article "Civil war in Syria raises questions about when to intervene" she talks about how the continuance o f violence in Syria had led many to flee and the disadvantages of the United Nation trying to help. There are many people in Syria who are affected by Syrian civil war which is making a large part of the population decrease. According to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) "over 200,000 people have fled their homes for calmer parts of Syria or neighboring countries such as Turkey, Jordan, and Lebanon". This estimate shows that many people are migrating to places next to them to have peace. Some people are even living on a temporary camp base. This fight is between the Syrian president Bashar al-Assad and protest fighters. The U.S is still debating whether they should take action and be involved because of the Syrian army having weapons such as AK-47s, rocket launchers and homemade bombs. The U.S that support the anti-regime group states "they will not intervene military unless Assad uses chemical weapons" I think the U.S should let whats ever going on in Syria stay to them because we are a very big and viscous country that is always in debt and trouble because we are always involved, no one really helps us.

  1. Remember that we are the most powerful nation in the world; other countries don't get involved as much as us because they don't have the same wealth and power as us. There is a saying (by the French writer Voltaire): "With great power comes great responsibility." 85
