In Neil Steinberg's (a staff reporter at sun times.com) short article he talks about the first man to step on the moons death and his his importance during his life time. Armstrong was born on august 5th 1930 and made his life a successful and remember-able one. In the year of 1969, Neil was the the first man to step on the moon ans stating "That’s one small step for [a] man,". " Armstrong conducted himself as a hero should — modest, self-effacing,
neither capitalizing on his global fame nor seeking a return to the
spotlight" say steinberg showing one way he will not be forgotten in this world. Another event that occurred that kept Armstrong known to the world was "conducting the first docking of two spacecraft in history,", Armstrong lead the Gemini 8 mission in 1966. After Neils death people had nothing to say but positive comments and loving memories. In a statement, his family described Armstrong as “a reluctant American hero who always believed he was just doing his job.” also Aldrin tweets "On behalf of the Aldrin family we extend our deepest condolences to
Carol & the entire Armstrong family on Neil’s passing. He will be
missed.,”. Armstrong has earned many awards and many schools were named after him in his honor!
